Health and Fitness
Health and fitness is crucial for all living things. Most animals in the wild are both healthy and fit.They only eat the types of food that their bodies are built to digest and they can get all of their required nutrients from these foods.They get fit by either hunting their food or walking or running long distances grazing for food.
Man on the other hand has slowly adapted to making and storing large quantities of his own types of food. This lazy type of food doesn't always contain all of the nutrients ,vitamins and minerals our bodies require and most of the time we don't need to do much exercise to get it. Most of this lazy food is designed to keep us hungry so we will consume more and make large companies rich.
This lazy food is also often packed with sugars and fats and carbohydrates that can cause our bodies to overload .Our bodies start reacting by either converting these sugars ,fats and starches into unneeded body fats which make us put on weight and can cause blockages to our arteries and put stress on our hearts.Or it can cause us to get diseases like diabetes, liver or kidney damage and many other disorders.
This extra weight gain also makes us tired and we don't exercise as much as we should.If we do start exercising heavily our bodies immediately start to crave for these sugars and starches for instant fuel as the stored fats in our muscles and other parts of our body takes time to turn back into usable energy so even when we have these stored energy reserves our brain naturally tells us that we are hungry so it can get the instant energy it needs.So even when overweight people try to lose weight by exercise alone they usually end up not losing weight or gaining more by binge eating.It is a viscous -merry -go -round for some people.
To get off this merry - go- round we need to change our diet and supply our bodies with foods that it really needs and can utilise fully.We need to eat foods that supply us with the vitamins,minerals and other essential nutrients it requires to get healthy.We need to also supply our bodies with foods that offer us a slower longer lasting form of energy that wont easily be converted into fats. Protein rich type foods offer our bodies a more balanced form of energy and they also contain traces of minerals and other nutrients it needs . But we also need foods rich in vitamins minerals,enzymes and other trace nutrients to be fully healthy.The best way to start getting healthy is to try avoiding these lazy foods and start eating a varied diet of meat, fish (with out fat filled crumbs),chicken ,sea food,salads, eggs,milk,vegetables, fruit,nuts seeds and legumes.
Once we start on a healthier diet we will have more energy to exercise and naturally start losing weight as some of these healthy foods can actually help our bodies to burn up the stored fats that have accumulated.Our body will also start to slowly heal itself as it now has the right building blocks to perform the necessary repairs. Some illnesses can even be overcome or slowed down by just a change in diet alone.
